MFUR President Paul Moist out in support of striking CUPW workers at the MFL rally today.

MFUR President Paul Moist joined in support with transit workers, members of the Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 500 (CUPE) and members of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) at the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) rally for safety on November 26.

A general membership meeting of MFUR was held on November 7 at the Union Centre. President Paul Moist delivered opening remarks and chaired the meeting.

CUPW members are fighting for a fair deal with Canada Post, The employer is asking for concessions, but postal workers are standing united to get better wages, greater job security and safer workplaces.

On the International Day for Care and Support, 29 October, the ITUC calls on governments to recognise care as a human right and public good, which includes the right to provide care, to receive care and to self-care.

MFUR President Paul Moist received the Winnipeg 150 community service award from Mayor Scott Gillingham on October 19 at Assiniboine Park. A tree was also planted in his honour.
